-Click the Forgot Password Link

-Enter your Login ID

-Click on Submit

-Check your mailbox for a password reset notification email containing a default password. You will be required to change the default password upon first login.

-On the Investments tab, click Account

-Specify the Start Date of the account statement

-Specify the End Date of the account statement

-Click ok.

A Direct Market Access enables a client to execute his/her order directly on the Floor of The Exchange through the firm’s provided platform without the intervention of the firm’s Broker(s). This access affords a client the leeway to be in control of his trades (buy/sell) within the trading session. Sales and purchases can be made simultaneously.

NGX is an acronym for The Nigerian Exchange Limited. It is also referred to as “The Exchange”. It is a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) with it members known as Trading License Holders (TLHs). All purchase and sales trades are executed on its floor.

CSCS is an acronym for Central Securities Clearing Systems which is the central body that warehouses all securities for investors in Nigeria. It provides unique trading account numbers for investors through their stockbrokers and also settle all trades executed within the ecosystem.

A DCS involves settlement of proceeds of sales executed by investors, through their brokers, directly into their registered bank accounts provided to CSCS upon registration rather than being paid by the broker who CSCS credits on settlement day (which is T+2 i.e. trading day plus 2 working days) for onward crediting to the respective investors/clients. Where this is activated for an investor/client, such client’s fund would be held by CSCS upon every sales transaction and would not be available for any form of share purchase until direct payment is made into his/her registered bank account on settlement day. Any investor/client in this category who is willing to take advantage of bearish market situation to acquire shares at low prices with his/her sales proceeds which is still being held by CSCS will be not able to do so until such is paid on the settlement day. At this time, the market may have rebound. However, purchases can be made with proceeds of sales executed the same day, provided he/she is not activated for DCS.

The trading hours are between 10.00am and 2.30pm

Purchase or sale of equities can only be carried out during trading hours. Trades carried out outside this time will not be executed but remain pending until the next trading day.

Market orders are orders placed at the prevailing market price. This means that once placed, the system would execute such orders immediately there is a supply (Buy/Sell) at the current market trading price.

Limit orders are orders where you set a specific price for the execution of your deal (Buy/Sell). Unless that price is met by a matching deal, such deals will be queued and stayed pending until the price is reached and then they are executed or, until the validity of Ten (10) days has elapsed.

A contract note (Sales/ Purchase) is sent immediately via email to you once a trade has been carried out on your account. However, for unexecuted trade of which mandate was given or keyed in, an outstanding mandate alert is sent each day to the client until either the mandate is executed or, until the validity of Ten (10) working days has elapsed.

If you notice any inconsistency in your online portfolio and that of CSCS, please send us an email using your registered email address via enquiries@quantumzenithsecurities.com.ng and your online portfolio will be reconciled to reflect your current status at CSCS.

You can fund your account using either of the payment gateway available on the mobile app. Alternatively, you can make a direct transfer to our designated client bank account (Quantum Zenith Sec. Client Acct., Zenith Bank Account No. 1011933987). Please describe the transfer with your full account name.

Sale proceeds can either be re-invested or transferred to your bank account. The desired option should be clearly indicated on your mandate and bank account details provided if proceeds are to be transferred to you. Please note that trades settle three working days after the trading day and as such sales proceeds are due for payment on the forth day i.e. T+2 (Transaction date plus two days).

The Registrars to the respective shares are in charge of disbursing dividend payment into the bank accounts of each shareholder on the announced payment date.

You would need to complete an e-dividend mandate form (this can be provided on request or, easily downloadable from the registrar’s website or, obtained from the customer service unit of your bank). Duly completed form is then submitted at the customer service unit of your bank and uploaded on the E-DMMS (E-dividend Mandate Management System) portal.

The Income Tax (Common Reporting Standard) Regulation, 2019 requires financial institutions to collect and report certain information on financial accounts for Controlling Person by filling the Self Certification Form. The Self-Certification Form is therefore, provided by the financial institution for the purpose of obtaining information for exchange with other reportable jurisdiction(s). This form is to be administered on a Controlling person of the Account holder and retained by the Financial Institution in hard and soft copy. It is to be made available to the FIRS, only upon request.
